During the first part of the nineties, there was a lot of confusion and discord amongst DX'ers and DX-clubs about the ITU-codes. That's why we decided to compile our own list but using as much as possible official codes and landlists. We took the EDXC-landlist as foundation and put an official ITU code next to the country name. If there was no official code available, we created a new one. This update is now revised and checked against the latest EDXC-country list (1998). The latest official version of the ITU country codes can be found here on the ITU website. Below you'll find the list of radiocountries and their respective ITU-codes. Behind de country names of more remote territories, the ITU code of the 'motherland' is mentioned between brackets. An asterisk ('*') shows if the code was created by DXA because of lack of an official ITU code. |

In de eerste helft van de jaren negentig bestond er aardig wat verwarring en onenigheid rond de ITU-landencodes onder DX'ers en in DX-clubs. Vandaar dat we het in 1994 binnen DXA de hoogste tijd vonden om een nieuwe lijst samen te stellen. Als basis namen we de toenmalige allerlaatste versie (1992) van de EDXC-landenlijst genomen, waarbij telkens aan ieder 'radioland' een al dan niet bestaande ITU-landencode werd toegekend naar een idee van Guido Schotmans. Van de meeste radiolanden werden de codes al vermeld in het WRTH en de Klingenfuss Utility Guide (al dan niet volledig of correct). Deze vernieuwde versie werd aangepast aan de in 1998 gepubliceerde EDXC-landenlijst. De laatste versie van de officiële ITU-landenlijst is overigens steeds hier terug te vinden op de webstek van de ITU. Hieronder volgt de alfabetische lijst der radiolanden en hun respectievelijke ITU-codes. Achter de landsnaam van verder afgelegen gebieden, wordt tussen haakjes telkens de ITU-code vermeld van het 'moederland'. Een asterisk ('*') geeft aan of de code eventueel door DXA werd aangemaakt bij gebrek aan een officiële. |
